From time to time, I have the opportunity to take on an adult student in my music studio. In one particular case, I am working with the parent AND children of a particular family. As a teacher, this dynamic is interesting because the parent is playing multiple roles in the arrangement. They are encouraging their children to learn and practice, they are taking their children to the lessons and performances. In addition, they are also having to find the time to practice and perform in recitals as a student. Hats off to you!
In the article below, the perspectives have changed slightly to focus on the point of view of a parent who is also taking lessons from the same teacher as their children. Enjoy! You will learn a lot!
